Sanford Smith, who had been in poor health for about a year, died at his home near Honeytown, Monday, April 6, aged 67 years, 7 months and 29 days. He was the son of Arthur and Elmira Smith, deceased, and was born in Jackson county, where he spent his entire life, August 7, 1863. He was a farmer by occupation. Forty-six years ago he was married to Patsy Rucker, who preceded him In death. He is survived by two sons, Charles H. Smith, of Acme; Hoyt T. Smith, of near Surprise; two brothers. Jack Smith, of Surprise; Curt Smith [Arthur L. Smith], of Arkansas; one half-sister, Effie Cole, of Surprise and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services in charge of the Rev. F. H. Reynold, were held at Acme Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o-clock. Burial In the Acme cemetery.
