Leander W. Nimmo died last Monday in St. Louis, of throat cancer, and was buried in Jonesboro Cemetery.
He lived with his mother until her death last summer, when he went to St. Louis with his family.
He was born in Jonesboro, the oldest son of Col. Alexander J. Nimmo. He was a lawyer. He married in the 1870s Almeda Donehew. He left a widow, several sons and daughters, one sister, Mrs. John S. Alexander, of Couer d'Alene, Idaho, and one brother, Charles F. Nimmo, of Cincinnati, Ohio.
