The History of the Doggett Daggett family, Supplement to John Doggett of Martha's Vineyard says she was born March 4, 1837, and died August 26, 1844. After reading the inscription on the marker I see she was 7 years 5 months old, the dates I listed are 7 years 5 months, and 22 days apart. I think that the marker saying she died in 1840 appears to be wrong but I have no way of knowing for sure.
The fact that she had a sister Abigail M. who was born March 4 1836 and died April 9, 1836 may have caused some confusion.
