Melvin John McNutt
Melvin J. McNutt, age 82, of 780 White Top Rd. Bluff City, TN went to be with the Lord Monday, December 22, 2003 in Greystone Health Care Center.
He was born July 21, 1921 in Bristol, Tn., a son of the late Ordley Melvin and Lillian Pendergrass McNutt.
He was a retired employee of Univac, and a US Army Veteran of WWII.
He was a member of North Bristol Baptist Church, and a former member of Emmanuel Baptist where he taught Sunday School and drove the church bus. He was also a member of the American Legion King Mountain Post #24.
He is survived by his wife, Pansy Smallwood McNutt.

Daughter: Connie Burnette and husband Allen.
Grandsons: Jeffrey Allen Burnette and wife Sherrie, Stephen Frank Burnette and wife Crystal.
Great Granddaughters: Brittany, Samantha, Savanna
Sisters: Carolyn Sue Mitchell and husband Bob
Brother: Clyde McNutt and wife Mona
Sisters-in-law: Louetta McNutt, Edna McNutt
Several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Burton; Brothers: Carl Edward, Ordley Jr. and L.B..
Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Friday, December 26, 2003 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Garland and Rev. Michael McCloud officiating.
The burial will be 11AM Saturday in the Glenwood Cemetery with Military Honors by Highlands Fellowship Veterans Honor Color Guard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Bolick, Deacons of North Bristol Baptist Church, and Staff of Greystone Health Care Center.
