Former Vernal Man Buried Last Wednesday in Lehi.
LEHI - Eliel E. Curtis, 63, died at his home here February 10, following a four-day illness of pneumonia.
He was born May 4, 1871, in Fountain Green, a son of David and Harriet Howard Curtis. He moved to Aurora from Fountain Green, then to Vernal, where he lived several years. He later moved to Roosevelt and came to Lehi with his family in 1920.
He married Hulda Ann Henry on January 3, 1892 at Vernal. They went through the Manti LDS Temple in August 1912.
Surviving are his widow and the following sons and daughters, Mrs. Guy Murray, Copperton, Claude Curtis, St. George, Mrs. Wallace Hicks, American Fork, Mrs. William L. Hill, Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Arville Hughes, Sandy, Mrs. Amanda Nelson, Mrs. Hulda Chadwick, David, Ralph and Beryl Curtis, Lehi; 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Ruth Morgan, Wascow, Califonia, a half-sister and a half brother, Mrs. Phoebe Singleton, Springville, and David Curtis, Payson.
Funeral services were conducted last Wednesday in the Lehi LDS First Ward Chapel with interment in the city cemetery.

He assisted in buildlng both paved highways through Lehi in 1931-1932, he was road supervisor of Utah County. During his life he was an active L. D. S. church worker.
