Ellis Ward Sr. died at a very young age. He was a boiler maker and enjoyed boxing and built two boats, both named the Lennie Ward after his wife. He had a young son at the time of his death, Ellis Ward Jr, my father. Ellis and Lennie were well liked and used to load the boat up and take friends across the lake on the weekends. I wish I could have known him.
