Hassie Renner Holt, 96, of Long Creek Road, Greeneville, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, at her home.
She was a farmer.
Mrs. Holt was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of Christ.
She loved to make quilts for her family.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Arlen and Zella Mae Holt of Parrottsville, Jack and Betty Holt of White Pine, John and Lois Holt, Bob and Phyllis Holt, and Tommy and Judy Holt of Greeneville; daughters and sons-in-law: Marlene Huff and Shirley Davis of Parrottsville, Linda and Wilbert Hatter of Roseland, Virginia, Alice Holt and Ben Stonecypher of Chuckey, and Kathy and Ted Fillers of Greeneville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 3 step grandchildren; brothers: J.B. Renner and Arvel Renner of Greeneville and Humphrey Renner of Calhoun, Tennessee; sister: Myrtle Croker of Greeneville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was the daughter of the late John Renner and Mary Belle Tweed Renner and was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8pm Monday, September 8, 2013, at Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Pastor Melton Mathers and Pastor John Shoemake officiating.
Interment will follow at 10am Tuesday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9am Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Holt, Randy Holt, Bobby Holt Jr., Anthony Holt, Larry Holt, and Tommy Holt.
