William Henry Parker was born in Iowa in 1870, shortly before his parents William Sr.and Rosanah Thurber Parker move from Iowa to Kansas. William Parker Jr. grows up in Kansas, but by about 1890, the Parker family has moved back to Iowa. In 1892, William Parker J. marries Amelia Ebert. William and Amelia Parker initially live in Iowa. Then about 1912, they move to Timber Lake, South Dakota. Here they farm until 1935 when they sell the farm and move to Arkansas. William Parker lives there until 1948, dying at about age 77. (The widowed Amelia Parker moves back to South Dakotaafter her husband's death.)
