Supposedly died in Pawlett, Vermont, but not found in the Old Pawlett Cemetery with this daughter Anna, who died in 1792.

I found the excerpt of Daniel Denison's probate extract. Frankly I didn't expect to do so because he was such a "traveling man," but here's the transcription. Please note, the pages in [ ] brackets refer to the actual pages in the County record books; the pages in parentheses ( ) refer to the pages in the Jenks book of transcriptions.

From the above, it looks to me as if Daniel did have a tombstone, but the question is where? And the record says "stones," so obviously there was more than one. I don't know of any other family member who would have been buried in Pawlet other than Daniel and his daughter Anna. Do you? So . . . either he was buried in the Old Cemetery and his stone is now gone, or he and an unknown family member were buried on the family farm. It's possible, too, that he died in Bennington, and the probate was in Rutland Co., because that's where he had property and had lived; and that's where he had in-laws. In this case he and "unknown" may be buried in Bennington. I sure wish the Bennington burial records were on line.
