Anton Cihak, born Oct. 19, 1857, in Czechoslavakia, died Nov. 18, 1933 in Knox at the age of 76 years and 29 days. He came to the United States in 1876 and made his home at Chicago until 1913. He then moved to Starke County where he lived on his farm two miles east of Bass Lake until his death. He leaves to mourn him three sons, August of Berwyn, Ill., Anton of Culver, and Joseph of Knox; four daughters, Mrs. Maggie Oliverius of Knox, Mrs. Josephine Casey, Mrs. Anna Cox of Walkerton and Mrs. Marie Carey of Winamac. Twenty-two grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive him. The funeral service was held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Chicago and burial in the Bohemian National Cemetery.
