Funeral services for Teri Lynn Allison, 58, of Anton, Texas will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Brother Ronny Gross of Graham, Texas officiating. Her family will receive friends before the service beginning at 9 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Mrs. Allison passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 in Lubbock. Teri Lynn Slentz was born on July 8, 1955 in Levelland to Lester Jean Slentz and Wanda Rahe (Mahon) Slentz. She graduated from Canyon High School and went on to attend West Texas State University both in Canyon, Texas. Teri Lynn married David Kent Allison on July 25, 1993. Teri Lynn was a woman who crusaded for those who were less fortunate or forgotten, regardless if they were human or animal. She was a huge supporter of the Last Patrol, a non-profit Pow-Mia Awareness and Veterans organization and many other Veterans Associations. She believed in rescuing animals and volunteered for associations that rescued animals. Teri Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Wanda Slentz. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 20 years, David Kent Allison of Anton; brother, Michael D. Slentz (Theresa) of Lubbock; sister, Lisa Langford (Robert) of Graham; nieces, Brittnay Johnson (Ryan), and Shaina Slentz; and nephew, Michael Jean Slentz. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Texas Humane Society, www.humanesocietyofwesttexas.org, or the Morris Animal Foundation, www.morrisanimalfoundation.org.
