Mrs. Pauline Allen, born May 11, 1916, went home to be with the Lord Nov. 5, 2006, comforted by her family and escorted by angels. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, New Waverly and a teacher of Homemakers Class. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Allen and granddaughter Melissa Anne Sandell. Mrs. Allen is survived by children Bobby Allen, Kathy Hall, Ruth and husband Robert Shelton, Delma Shelly, Maxine and husband Talmadge Sandell; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home.
