LILLIAN (BROOKS) STAGE , 77, Erie, died Saturday afternoon (16 Mar 1974) at Morrison Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Schilling Funeral Home. The Rev. Ernest Lauff, pastor of the Erie Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.

The former Lillian Brooks was born in Erie on May 30, 1896, the daughter of Alphonse and Mahalia George Brooks. She married Harry Stage in 1910 in Davenport. He preceded her in death. She had been retired as a meat packer for Swifts and Co., Clinton, Iowa. She had been a member of the Erie Unit of World War II Mothers.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Ida Plumley, Mrs. Ross Packer, Mrs. Earl Adamson, Mrs. Merle Rundall, Mrs. Stanley Verkruysse and Mrs. Mabel Williams, all of Erie; three brothers, Raymond, Fulton; and Harold and William, both of Erie; 43 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and five children.
