Doris Geneva "Neve" Whitlock, 85, of Hendersonville, North Carolina passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at Hendersonville Health and Rehab. She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Della Morrison Stepp, her husband, Gabrielle Whitlock, two daughters, Evelyn Jarrett and Gracie Whitlock, four brothers and one sister. She is survived by two sons, Randall and RonaldWhitlock both of Hendersonville; one daughter Christie Whitlock of Hendersonville; two brothers, Tommy and Jeffrey Stepp both of Hendersonville; three sisters,Brenda Ritchey of Travelers Rest, S.C., Patty Montelongo of Sullivan City, Texas, and Cathy Craig of Hendersonville; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Stepp Cemetery on Stepp Mill Road with Rev. Dan Blackwell offciating. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jackson Funeral Service and at other times will be at the home of Christie Whitlock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life; 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
