Mrs. Sorrell worked at the Savoy Restaurant for sixteen years. She was a member of St. Peter's Church.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Leota and Donald Sjoblom, Rome, Darleen Beadnell, Fredericksburg, VA; four sons, and three daughters-in-law, Royal Sorrell, Rome, Alton and Nancy Sorrell, New Hartford, Marvin and Nancy Sorrell, Sterling Heights, MI, Lyle and Sharon Sorrell, Rome; one sister, Lyola Sutton, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Darcy Seymour, Ft. Pierce, FL, Karney and Pat Seymour, Rome; eighteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two daughters, Brenda Sorrell in 1958 and Joan Van Allen in 1994.
Funeral services will be held at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Friday at 2:30 p.m. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery, Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Rome Sentinel, January 3, 2007
