In Apalona, Perry County, Thomas Cassidy passed away a few days ago at the age of 85 years. He leaves 17 grown children, to which Patrick Cassidy of here belongs.

Death Certificate states Thomas was son of Wm. Cassidy and Tilla Sprinkle. Even though his death certificate states that Thomas was the son of William Cassidy and Tilla Sprinkle, we do not believe that is correct. There is no such couple. Descendants of Thomas have joined the DAR and SAR over the years, and their applications show that Thomas was the son of Baptist John Cassidy & Elizabeth Mudd. Contributor: Margaret Sprinkle Sopp
