Wanda L. (Quinton) Hinds
Wanda L. Hinds, of Willcox died September 5, 2013 at the age of 84. She was born April 18, 1929 in Bakersfield, California to Luther Quinton and Lola Bessie Taylor Quinton. Wanda was the oldest of nine children and they all lived most of the their young lives in Bakersfield. Wanda met Shelby Duane Hinds in Willcox and they were married in Safford on October 12, 1948. She was a member of the Church of God 7th day, and God was a daily part of her life. Wanda loved pets and her family very much. She was very active in her children school activities, volunteering as room mother, attending PTA meetings and never missing an outing to hear/watch her girls perform in the school marching band. Wanda loved to garden and can. Her jellies and bread and butter pickles were her favorite. When Wanda and Duane moved back to Willcox she along with her daughter Pam became FTD florists, working for Paul and Ellen Clark's floral shop. Wanda is survived by her husband Duane of Willcox, daughters Pam (Carl) Hestand of Willcox and Sharon Hinds of Sierra Vista. Her grandchildren Amber Lynn, Nicole Maree, Samantha and Sussane; and her great granchidlren Randall Patrick and Shelby Lynn are also surviving. Wanda is also survived by her siblings Delores, Anna Lee, Joel Wesley, Sunnie Sue, Bobbie Wayne and Eddie Ryan. Preceding her in death were two brothers and her parents. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm at Westlawn Chapel. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Westlawn Chapel with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
