NEWPORT NEWS - Lottie Mae Bethea-Travis departed this on May 25, 2005, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 10, 1941 to the late Mr & Mrs Fess Bethea in Hampton, Va. Lottie was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1980. She was a faithful member of the Newport News South Congregation until her death. She was preceded in death by her sister, Annie Lee Bethea. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Alphonso Lee Bethea, Sr. (Beverly) of White Plains, Md., Cortina Travis Warwick (Paul) and Paulette Travis, both of Newport News, Va.; one sister, Rosa Richardson of Newport News, Va.; one uncle James Falls of Brownsmill, N.J.; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Viewing will be held 1 to 7 p.m. today, Friday, May 27 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, May 28 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 804-41st Street, Newport News, Va. 23607. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are to assemble at 3302 Marshall Avenue, Newport News by 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. Condolences may be sent to www.cookebros.com
