ALBERT H. ORTON PASSES
About ten o'clock on Monday night, after an illness of many months attended by much suffering, death came as a relief to Albert H. Orton, well known and much respected citizen of this community. Cancer of the stomach, which for a long time has been slowly and cruelly sapping the vitality of the man finally resulting in his death, by literally depriving him of any nourishment, and he grew constantly weeker until the end came. Several months ago, when it was definitely learned what his trouble was, he was taken to the hospital at Cedar where an operation revealed that the cancer had reached such a stage of development that it would be impossible to effect a cure, and that it would be only a matter of months until the inevitable should come. Death was therefore not a surprise to his family. Temporary relief was given him at that time, however, which helped to make the latter part of his life more endurable.
He is survived by a wife, four children, a brother and eight sisters, besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
The sympathy of the entire community is extended to them in this their hour of sorrow.
