Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte, in 1978.
He was a member of The First Brethren Church in West Alexandria.
Survivors include one son: Rev. Charles F. Ankney of West Alexandria; three daughters: Joy Jones of New Lebanon, Charlene Blackmore of Fairborn, and Gail Litton of West Alexandria; a brother: Joseph of Brookville; two sisters: Mary Jones of Liberty and Dorothy Schutte of Dayton; 22 grandchildren, 38 g-grandchildren, 3 g-g-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
