Lillian Alice Crider Slaughterbeck, 55, died at 12:50 AM today [Tuesday, March 26, 1974] in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she had been a patient three weeks, following 18 months of ill-health. Born and reared in Lafayette, she lived most of her life here. In 1935, she was married to Noble N. Slaughterbeck, who survives.

Mrs. Slaughterbeck worked as a night hostess at Windsor Hall, Purdue University for five years. She was a member of McCoysburg United Methodist Church, and was past president of the church's Young Women's Methodist Organization.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Barbara Alice (Mrs. Virgil) Hicks and Shirley (Mrs. Clarence W. Jr.) Clemens, both of Lafayette; two sons, Noble N. Slaughterbeck, Jr. of Lafayette and Kurtis Charles Slaughterbeck, at home; one sister, Mrs. Flora Charlesworth of Otterbein; one brother, Harold Oliver Crider of West Lafayette; and four grandchildren.
