Mrs. Laura Ament
Dies at Sering
Mrs. Laura Nettie Ament, 43, wife of George Ament, died Tuesday at 5 p. m, at the family home in Sering Place. Mrs. Ament suffered from heart trouble and had been ill since last Christmas. She had been bedfast for the past eight weeks.
She was the mother of eight children, two of whom died in infancy.
The six surviving children, ranging in age from 24 to seven years, are William, Wilson, Theodore, Anna, Susan arid John. She also leaves her parents, Mr. and William Sheff, two sisters, Mrs. William Nichelson and Miss Millie Sheff, a brother 0. B. Sheff, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. William Ament, all of Alton.
The funeral will be held Thursday, the funeral cortege leaving the residence at 12:45 p.m. for the Edwards Street Pentecostal church. Burial will be in I.O.F cemetery at Grafton.
