Mae Bell Allen "Granny Bell", 84, of Austell, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Sylvia Frost of Loganville; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Johnson of Winston, Sandra and Bobby Wood of Austell, and Elaine and Steve Trudewind of Douglasville; grandchildren, Tommy and Judy Johnson, Patty and David Gray, Joel and Patsy Johnson, Nancy and Jason Tomlin, Susan and Barry Dollar, Stephanie Kirk, Bobby Wood, Jr., Tony Handley, Antressa and Kevin Aldridge, Mike and Stephanie Handley, Dee Dee and China Cintron, Andrea Trudewind, Angela Barnnett, David Frost, Carrie Oaks, Jimmy Kean, Nikki Conklin, Tylor Sidders, Paula Wilson, Douglas Wilson and Brandon Barnnett; 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ezra Allen and granddaughter, Angela "Angie" Colston.
Mrs. Allen worked at Bressler Brothers for over 17 years, where she made nursing uniforms. She was an avid home gardener, sharing her harvest with family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Roy Davis Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Johnny Daniels and Rev. Bobby Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta.
