Funeral services were conducted at 2 pm today at the Bunceton Federated Church for William E. Arnold, 84, a retired farmer of the Bunceton area, by the Rev. Robert Streeter.
Burial was in the Bunceton Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Arnold died at 7 am Tuesday at Woods Boarding Home, Independence, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Arnold was born May 1, 1885 in Laclede county to John and Mary Purvis Arnold. After the death of his first wife, he married Miss Porter Coffman, who survives.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Edith Thorpe, Kansas City; two sons, John Arnold, Independence and Eugene Arnold, Moberly; two sisters, Mrs. Ellie Weeks, Lincoln, and Mrs. Ethel Martin, Independence; one brother, Walter Arnold, Independence; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
