Maxime John Pitre, 86, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, died at 12:41 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11.
His body will be cremated.
He was the husband of Lorica Toups Pitre; father of Clifford J. Pitre of Gretna and Enesia Cabirac of New Orleans; brother of Blanche Hebert and Laura Hill, both of Westwego, and Elizabeth Callais of Cut Off. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maximillian and Leocade Dantin Pitre; and two great-grandchildren.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Cut Off.
