Tennis Mikesell Hunt returned to her Father in Heaven on August 30, 2013.

She was born on November 25, 1924 to Walter and Katie Marie Mikesell in St. Anthony, Idaho. She spent her childhood and school years there.

Tennis married David E. Hunt on February 16, 1942 in St. Anthony. As he went into the service in 1942 she moved with her parents to Ogden, Utah to work in the defense plants. She worked at Defense Dept Ogden and Hill Air Force Base until his return. When David returned, they continued to live in Ogden. She worked at several local stores including Safeway, Smith's Food King, Albertson's, Gibson's, and later at the IRS. She continued working while raising five children born to this union.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held positions in Young Women's, Primary, and Relief Society. Tennis and David's marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. She worked in the temple as long as she could, until her health began to fail.

Tennis is survived by her children, David (Neria) Hunt of Las Vegas, Michael (Vicki) Hunt, Bruce Hunt, Kathy Draper, and Lynette (Tim) Chadwick, all of Ogden; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sweetheart David, who passed away on January 24, 1994; her parents, two sisters, and one brother.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary.
