Annie Lewis was born November 27, 1882 in London, Kimble, Texas, the daughter of Lemuel and Mary (Boyce) Lewis. She married Barkley William Chamberland when she was only 14 years old. They were the parents of three girls and two boys. They lived in Texas, Oklahoma, and finally Montana. Annie ran a boarding house in Terry, Montana. Barkley died in San Diego, California, in 1934. Annie died in Terry on October 1, 1979, at the age of 96. She is buried in the Prairie County Cemetery.
