Wyoming, IL – Shirley Carroll, 78, of Wyoming, died 12:06 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at her home.
She was born March 1, 1935, in Peoria, to Iryll Walker Jones and Mary Clark Jones. She married John "Buck" Carroll on January 22, 1965.
He preceded her in death along with her parents, one son, Ricky Thieben, and one brother Bill Jones.
Surviving are her children, Dana Carroll of Wyoming, Cynthia (Rick) Duncan of Princeville, and Anthony (Kim) Carroll of Auburn; grandchildren, Ronald (Felicia) Potter of Toulon, Damien Carroll of Wyoming, Trevor Nordstrom & Christina Carroll of Arkansas, and Anthony, Shelby, and Zach Carroll of Auburn.
She graduated from Wyoming High School in 1953. Shirley worked at Breeze, Bryton Technology and Pizza Hut, retiring in 2007. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her puppy "CoCo" very much. Shirley was known as "Mom" or "Granny" and loved by many.
Cremation has been accorded.
