Vinnie Viola (Graham) Scott was the second wife of Thomas Stanley Scott, and the Step Grandmother of the children of Stepson Stanley Albert Scott*, namely: Betty Jane (Scott) Morehouse, Donald Scott, and Robert Raymond Scott*. She became effectly the responsible mother of these grandchildren because of some unfortunate behavior of their widowed and remarried father, Stanley Albert Scott*.

She was a remarkably capable and strong woman of great charachter. As a widow she managed to raise her inherited family by owning and managing a grocery store at 30th and Holland St., Erie for a considerable time until she lost it in the great depression due to deficit accounts of her customers/neighbors. Using her training as a nurse, she subsequently moved to Buffalo, NY, and owned and managed a large home which she turned into a half way house for recovering hospital patients.

She lived into old age, and was cared for by some generous people and relatives. She died of cancer. She led a valiant life in difficult times.
