Full Military Honors For Utah War Hero
Funeral services for Sergeant Jack P. Wright, who was killed in action in the Meuse-Argonne offensive September 29, 1918, will be held at the Farmers' Ward chapel at 12:45 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Full military honors will be paid with the Veterans of Foreign Wars in charge. The body is at the Joseph William Taylor undertaking establishment.
Sergeant Wright was born at Leeds, Utah, June 15, 1893. He enlisted in the army at Salt Lake September 19, 1917, and received his military training at Camp Lewis [Pierce County, Washington]. He went overseas June 25, 1918. A member of the 362nd Infantry.
His survivors include his parents. H. P. Wright and Mrs. Katie N. Wright, both of California; his widow, Mrs. Ollie Wright of Salt Lake, and three-year{month*}-old daughter, Jacqueline Wright of Salt Lake; four brothers living in Salt Lake. Phil, Wallace, Earl and Richard H., and one brother in California, Alton; two sisters, living in California, Catherine and Althea May Wright.
