Mary Frances Andrews, 94, went to be with the Lord on Friday. She was born to the late William and Jesse Ruth Bridges on February 19, 1919 in Macon, Georgia. Frances relocated to Blanchard in 1951 with her late husband, James D. Andrews, where they raised their loving children, Judy and Mark. Frances worked at the Blanchard Public Library where she spent many happy years among her friends in Blanchard and promoted reading, one of her favorite pastimes. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Blanchard for 61 years. Frances loved attending FBC's social events and spending time with her lifelong friends from church. She had a lively sense of humor, loved shopping, gardening, and was a competitive Canasta and dominoes player. She was an avid bird watcher, engaging in yearly rivalries against the squirrels that tried to rob her bird feeders every spring and summer. Frances was a loving and proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Andrews Rosso, of Shreveport; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kim Andrews, of Anderson, Texas. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom are very thankful for their Meme: Jimmy Rosso, and his wife, Leslie, and their daughters, Kloe and Amelia; Stacey King, and her husband, Dan, and their children Riley and Danny; and Sarah, Joshua, and Mary Frances Andrews. Services celebrating the life of Frances Andrews will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel in Shreveport, Louisiana. The funeral service will be immediately following visitation at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mooringsport, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Providence House. "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, no height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38-39
