Pete, an Edmonson County native, was born September 17, 1918. She was preceded in death by her parents: Rev. Frank Butram and Lou Hogan Butram; her husband: Lennie V. "Perk" Cox; two brothers: Hubert Buttram and Almon Butram; and three sisters: Alma Hatler, Grace Hunt, and Iva Tarter. She is survived by her nieces and caregivers: Nancy Tarter Huffman, Inga Wolff, and her great-niece and care giver: Krista Lou Williams (Mike); several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was an exceptional homemaker and retired employee of Carter-Wallace in Hightstown, New Jersey. She was a member of Dripping Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Edmonson County.
Visitation will be from Noon-4 p.m. today at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane chapel with a Celebration of Life at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cave City Cemetery.
