He was born March 8, 1911, the son of William Lee Greenwell and Agnes Norris Greenwell. Mr. Greenwell was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, a sister, Naomi Pike and three brothers, Earl Greenwell, Bernard Lee Greenwell and William Greenwell.
He is survived by seven children; Charles L. Greenwell, Brandenburg, John E. Greenwell, Concorde, North Carolinia, Mrs. Beverly A. Boeckmann, Mrs. Mary J. Higgins both of Louisville, Mrs. Brenda J. Deibel, Crestwood, Mrs. Elaine A. Spink, Finchville, Mrs. Sarah K. Abel, Champaign, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Verna Vessels, Rhodelia, Mrs. Emma B. Hardesty, Payneville and Mrs. Alberta Brown, Irvington; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from St. John the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Bill Martin officiating. Burial was in St. George Cemetery, directed by Hager Funeral Home.
