Mr. Bruce Armstrong, age 61, of 1011 Boarders Terrace, Greensboro, made his transition on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro.

Bruce was born March 16, 1952 in Wilson County to the late Clarence and Bertha Bell Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his brother, Deacon Bobby E. Bell.

He attended Frederick Douglas High School, but graduated from Elm City High School, both located in Elm City, NC. He then attended North Carolina A&T State University for two years.

For several years, he was employed by the United States Postal Service and the completed 30 years of service as a Chemist for Proctor & Gamble.

He was survived by his three devoted sons; four grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; four aunts; four uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service, in the form of a graveside, was held on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 1pm, at Armstrong Family Cemetery, Elm City, NC. A public viewing took place on Friday, September 6, 2013, from 1pm to 7pm at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro Street SW, Wilson.
