Johnnie Lou Anderson, 95, of Carmine, TX, died on December 19, 2022.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with Father Stephen Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Johnnie was born on August 6, 1927 in Ellisville, MS to Hoy William and Eva Merle Johnson Vaughn. She married her husband, David L. Anderson, on October 14, 1977 at St. John Episcopal Church in La Porte. She worked as a nurse in the Healthcare industry.

Johnnie was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and St. John Episcopal church in La Porte. She loved Astros baseball dating back to the Colt .45's. She was in the Red Hat Society in Burton. She loved to play bridge and to work in her flower beds.

Johnnie is survived by her son, James Frank "Jim" Bobo Jr. of Carmine, TX; stepson, David L. Anderson Jr., of Cypress, TX; sister, Dolly Carol Knight of Houston, TX; granddaughters, Michelle Gilchrist and husband Tony, and Leslie Faye Bobo; step granddaughters; Hanna Anderson and Megan Anderson; great-grandson, Will Gilchrist; nephew, David McFarland and wife Debbie; and niece, Judy Rose and husband David. Special friends, Pete Van Slyke, Lynn Ragsdale, Andre Holle, Darrel Blum, Wayne Blum, Ted Malloy, Gregg Malloy, Clare Malloy, Mirna Fritz, Lois Greif, Doug Peck, Owen and Joan Zeiss, Jeff and Betsy Zeiss and Mike Redman.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Anderson; daughter, Betsy Blackshear; and sister Shirley McFarland.
