Rinaldo King was the son of John and Rebecca (Ray) King, born and reared in the East Union community. He had lived his entire life in or near Caldwell and was a prominent member of the Free Methodist church.
He was twice married, his first wife, Sarah Elizabeth Davison King, preceding him in death seven years ago. Surviving are his second wife, Emma Orr King; and the following children; Mrs. Martha A. King of Caldwell, William King of Caldwell, Mrs. Rosa Bates of Caldwell R.D. 6, Robert R. King of Sarahsville R.D. 1, Mrs. Mary Bates of Caldwell R.D. 1, and Mrs. Hattie Wickham of Summerfield R.D. 1; in addition to 35 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services were held from the Caldwell Free Methodist Church Friday, conducted by Rev. M. W. Beede. Internment was made in Olive Cemetery.
