Robert Mayne Bundy was a son of Robert Edward and Vera Viola (Bales) Bundy. He was involved in the hosiery business. He served as vice president of Adams-Millis Corp. and as director of the National Association of Hosiery Manufacturers. During World War II, he served on the War Production Board in Washington, DC. At the time of his death he was president of Roxy Hosiery Mill of Mebane. On 30 June 1927 he married Blanche York.
