Bill met and married my mother, Armella, in 1945 while serving in the U. S. Army.
My mother and younger sister, Laura Milburn predeceased Bill in 1990. A daughter, Helen, died shortly after birth in 1946.
Bill was employed with Pacific Aeromotive Corp. in Burbank, CA for nearly 30 years. Later, he and my mother purchased a business in Los Angeles, CA that dad operated for close to 14 years before retiring.
Dad developed a number of interests over the years including research and documenting family genealogy, philately (mostly first day covers), photography and wood working. He was a knowledgeable and curious person, self-taught in many respects. When other seniors were hitting the golf courses or traveling, dad took on a new frontier for him when he was well into his sixties and that was the computer age. He attended a few courses, read a number of self-help books and he was well on his way.
Bill suffered a stroke on June 12, 2013 and subsequently passed away on June 24, 2013 after a second incident.
Bill was loved deeply by his family and we miss his wit, intelligence and his quirky sense of humor.
Bill is survived by his family which includes his daughter, son-in-law, grand children and their spouses, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
