Civil War service. Sergeant, Company C, 20th New York State Militia, Aug.-April, 1861. Private, commissary sergeant, 2nd Lieutenant, 120th New York State Volunteer Infantry. Wounded in action, July 2, 1863 during the Battle of Gettysburg. Died in East Walnut Street, U.S. Army General Hospital.
