Leona Norris, 86, a former resident of Estes Park, died March 30, 2005, at the Hospice of Metro Denver in Aurora, Colo. Mrs. Norris was born March 22, 1919, in Hutchinson, Kan. to Martin A. and Elizabeth (Gaede) Dirksen. She worked as a clerk at Sears and Roebuck in Wichita, Kan. She married Wilbur R. Norris on Dec.6, 1942 .in Enid, Okla. He died in 1996. She is survived by three sons; Ronald Ray Norris of Oklahoma City, Okla., Donald Dean Norris of Estes Park, and Jon Jerel Norris of Lone Tree, Colo., seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild and a sister, Alta Honn of Garnett, Kan. A memorial service with burial of cremated remains will be held on Wednesday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Rev. Roger Wolsey officiating.
