Lucille F. Schrecengost, 74, of Dayton, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006.
She was born on Oct. 7, 1931, in Dayton, to Albert and Daisy (Anderson) Steffy.
Mrs. Schrecengost was employed by Dayton High School for 20 years as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of the Dayton United Methodist Church. She was a 1949 graduate of Dayton High School and a lifetime resident of Dayton. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two sons; Randy Schrecengost and his wife, Peggy, of Dayton, and Rick Schrecengost, of Dayton; a daughter, Jean Schrecengost, of Green Tree; a grandson, Bob Schrecengost; two granddaughters, Carrie Smith and her husband, Randy, and Holly Schrecengost; two sisters, Irene Vernocy, of Indiana, and Evelyn Levesque and her husband, Roland, of Blairsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert E. �Gundy� Schrecengost, who died June 15, 1973; three brothers; Paul, Roy, and William T. Steffy; and a sister, Alice Lloyd.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, Inc. 125 East Main Street, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Howard officiating. Burial will be at the Glade Run Presbyterian Cemetery in Wayne Township.
