Dorothy "Dot" Gardner, 77, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Services are 3:00 p.m. today at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel in Canton with burial at Canton City Cemetery. Visitation is today after 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband James V. "Doc" Gardner and son George Gardner.

Survivors are sons, James "Doc" Gardner, Jr. of Lena, Ben Allen Gardner and Tony Gardner of Canton; daughter, Debra Walker of Columbus; brother, Kenneth "Pete" Vinson of Newport News, VA; one half-brother and five half-sisters; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
