MRS. VESSIE SMITH DIES
Funeral to Be Conducted Tomorrow With Burial in Memorial Park
Mrs. Vessie Aline Smith, wife of V.B. Smith, died at her home, 2300 Azalia Street, early last night after an illness of a year. Mr. and Mrs. Smith returned to Memphis in November after an eight month's stay at Albuquerque, N.M. for Mrs. Smith's health.
Mrs. Smith was 43 years old and was a native of Memphis. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband, seven children, Mrs. V.R. Peeler, Henry, E., David, William, Brooks, Jr., and Leonard Smith, all of Memphis; three brothers, Rubin, Claud and Zenaphan Anthony, all of Collierville, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Case, Collierville.
Funeral services will be held at Thompson Brothers' Mortuary at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
