OBIT: On the 30th March of paralysis, after a lingering illness, James E. Blackiston, aged 60y. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss. By the bright evidence we witnessed on his dying bed, we are sure he has gone where there is no suffering, and where he will forever join in singing praises to God. Kent News April 10 1869.
