Graveside services for Inez Bowen Thomas, 78, of Algood, will be held at 4:30 p.m. today, Mon., Aug. 8, at Double Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas died on Fri., Aug. 5, 2005, at her residence.
She was born June 2, 1917, in Putnam County to the late Alvin and Selina Carson Palk Goolsby.
Mrs. Thomas was purchasing agent for the Michigan Board of Education. She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and was a board member of Double Springs Cemetery.
Her family includes a son, Kevin Bowen of Lavonia, Mich.; a daughter, Deborah Caraballo of Acworth, Ga.; a brother and sisterinlaw, Joe and Mary Ann Goolsby of Cookeville; three sisters, Mary Pierce of Cookeville, Jewell Herron of Baxter and Liloene Styers of Brecksville, Ohio; six grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bruce Bowen and Ray Thomas; a son, Jeff Bowen; and two brothers, Charlie and Jasper Goolsby
