Death Claims Mrs. Abbott At Her Home Here
Mrs. Elizabeth Smith Abbott died last night at 11 o'clock following an extended illness at her home, 618 west Third street. She was 78 years of age.
Mrs. Abbott was a native of Carroll county, Ky., and the widow of Henry Abbott. She moved to the Madison community about 16 years ago. She was a member of the Methodist church at Owenton, Ky.
Her survivors include two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Sylvia Miller, of this city; Mrs. Anna Thomas, of Owenton; Louis Smith, of Indianapolis, and William Smith of Sanders, Ky.; also several nieces and nephews.
Final rites will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Vail Memorial funeral home, by Rev. H.A. Broadwell, and burial will be in Springdale (note: this is incorrect). Friends may call at the memorial after 6:00 p.m. tomorrow.
