CRAIGSVILLE — Edith Lilian Sensabaugh Campbell, 93, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, in Staunton.

She was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late George F. Sensabaugh and Mamie B. Huffman Sensabaugh. She was married to the late Clyde W. Campbell, who preceded her in death Jan. 14, 2004.

She was a member of the Little River Church of the Brethren. She was active in the church for a number of years. She served as chairman of the church board, delegate to district conference, secretary, treasurer, Sunday school teacher from beginners to youth and also a leader of the adult Bible Class for 11 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by four children, Joyce C. Brown of Staunton, Clyde Wayne Campbell and wife, Joyce, of Fishersville, Winston D. Campbell and wife, Janet, of Craigsville, Jennifer C. Melton and husband, Larry, of Staunton; six grandchildren, Sandi, Brian, Brent, Windy, Barry and Matthew; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris A. Sensabaugh; a special friend, Penny Ingram and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen B. Campbell; a grandson, John Brown; a brother, G. Carlton Sensabaugh; a half-sister, Margie Palmer and a half-brother, Russell Bartley.

A funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 at the Little River Church of the Brethren with Brother William Garber and Brother Scott Payne officiating.

Interment will be in Little River Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Campbell, Matthew Campbell, Brian Campbell, Brent Campbell, Johnny Coffman and Derek Alford. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Cook and Tucker Craig.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening Aug. 31, 2013, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Craigsville Funeral Home.
