Arnold Don Billington, 81, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Glen Walton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Arnold Don Billington, 81, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him. Mr. Billington was born May 29, 1932, in Gould, Okla., to Roy and Louise Billington. The family moved to Boise City, Okla., in 1948 and then to Ford in 1950, where he met his wife of 60 years, Izetta Joan Lynch.
Don retired from the city of Amarillo after 30 years of service. He loved to fish and spend time with family. He was a longtime member of North Amarillo Church of Christ and recently Bell Avenue Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Izetta Billington of Amarillo; two sons, Charles Billington and wife Pam of Austin and Don Billington Jr. of Amarillo; a daughter, Katherine Gage and husband Gary of Sulpher, Okla.; two brothers, Jerry Billington and Melvin Billington, both of Lubbock; four
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
