Clifford Albert Beck, 102, of Mountain Vista Health Park, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the nursing home.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at Grace Alliance Church, where he was a member. A graveside service with Military Rites by Davidson County Honor Guard will follow the visitation with the Pastor Richard Barker officiating.

Mr. Beck was born February 9, 1911, in Davidson County, to William David Beck and Hettie Dunn Beck. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was retired from PPG. Mr. Beck was an avid Jeff Gordon fan, loved to fish and was a member of VFW Post 3074 in Lexington. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Owens Beck; brothers, Carlton Beck, Gurney Beck, James Beck, Elmer Beck, Arlie Beck, Ernest Beck; and sister, Velna Vawter.

Surviving are son, Carroll Bryce Beck and wife Tula of Lexington; daughter, Ann Snyder and husband Monroe of Denton; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
