He married Marsha Lee Dedrickson on 24 November 1959, in Spanish Fork, Utah, Utah. He lived in Election Precinct 119 Buena, Yakima, Washington in 1940 and Provo, Utah, Utah in 1950. He died on 18 August 2005, in Orem, Utah, Utah at the age of 65 and was buried in Spanish Fork, Utah.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Together they had nine children. Allen worked for Gatex Steel and McNalley Mountain States Steel. He enjoyed yard work and spending time with his family. His family was his pride and joy. He also enjoyed working on old cars with his sons. He is survived by his loving wife, children, and 22 grandchildren. Funeral Services were held on August 23, 2005 at the Timpanogos 2nd Ward Chapel in Orem, Utah.
